The town with its 4827 inhabitants Algaida and associated communities Pina and Randa is located in the southeastern part of the island of Mallorca. Six smaller mountains belong to Algaida, the largest and most famous is the Puig de Randa, with 544 meters height.

\nAlgaida was first documented in 1232. But the best known community with Table Mountain Randa Randa, on which are found three monastic sanctuaries. Located on the lower terrace, the Sanctuary of Nostra Senyora de Gr\u00e0cia, a monastery from the 15th Century. On the second terrace, the Hermit de Sant Honorat is the 14th Century. At the height of the mountain lies the Sanctuary of Nostra finally Senyora de Cura, Franciscan Hermitage since 1275 and home of the Ramon Llull of Majorca great philosophers and religious scholars. He was born 1232 as son of Catalan parents in Palma. It took place in his transformation from man of the world as a monk. His vision was the peaceful coexistence of Jews, Christians and Muslims.
