Porreres

Porreres is a small town in the southern part of Mallorca. There, the traditional architecture has been preserved. Narrow streets and roads leading to the church, which almost overwhelmed the place. Here the people live off of wine and apricots. The famous wine from Jaume Mesquida comes from this region. This was taken in the years '70ziger French grape varieties in Mallorca. The winery is now known far beyond the borders.
This is partly deserted and quiet to a true place of rest without fully booked hotels and tourism.
Porreres located near Llucmajor, Campos and Felanitx and is due to its location very popular with cyclists. There is no mass tourism, the individual who loves holiday come here and explore the countryside by bicycle or on foot and enjoy in one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants of Porreres the amenities of a vacation.

The sights of Porreres are: the parish church of Nostra Senyora de la Consolacion, the church Iglesia de Sant Felip Neri and Iglesia de l'Hospitalet, the Chapel Sanctuary of Monti-Sion, Ermita de la Santa Creu, Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art (Museum of contemporary art) and the Plaza de Toros.
