Campos

The rather flat Campos municipality on the southern coast of Majorca, along a coastline, from the resort of Sa Ràpita Ses Arenes in the West until after the long sandy beach of Es Trenc ranges in the southeast, which attracts thousands of visitors in summer. The eponymous capital of the municipality is located about nine kilometers from the coast and about 35 km from Palma.
Main economic factors are agriculture, livestock and dairy. Every Saturday a weekly market is held here

Campos translated fields / fields and probably dates back to Roman settlers and held during the Muslim rule. In 1300 King James I appointed to the city of Campos.
